Spring 2021 COVID Update

We are thankful that many aspects of life at MCRC have returned to pre-COVID normal:

  • Masks are no longer required by the state or the county.  You are welcome to wear one if you so choose.
  • Nursery and church education are taking place in their seasons.  (No Sunday School during the summer, as usual.)
  • We again host a fellowship time after the service, and coffee, juice, and cookies are served.

During the summer months, beginning on Sunday, June 13th, our morning and evening services will be held outdoors, weather permitting.  Please bring a Bible and lawn chairs or a blanket.  We will continue livestreaming our services, whether indoors or outside.

Temporary Nursery Closure

The Nursery will be closed for December 2020 and January 2021.  Depending on the local spread of COVID-19 and on the availability of volunteers, we hope to reopen the nursery in February.  Young children are always welcome to worship with their families in the Sanctuary and in the Fellowship Hall.  The Cry Room is open, and the service is streamed there.  The Nursery room is also available for parents who wish to supervise their own children there.

Summer Worship Plan

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, our manner of worship has been atypical this year: exclusive livestreaming in March and April, double morning services in May and June, and outdoor worship since July.  We thank God for the technology, willing volunteers, ample outdoor space, and beautiful Sunday morning weather that have allowed all these means of worship to take place.

Through September 13th, our plan continues to be that, weather permitting, we will gather for worship outdoors at 10:00 a.m. in the park to the west of the church building.  Please bring your own chairs.  Pursuant to the Governor’s order of July 15, 2020, please seat yourselves with 6 feet between family groups and, as we are outside, masks are not required when social distancing is maintained.  We do ask that you wear a mask when social distancing is more difficult, such as when you arrive and leave the service.

We have been fortunate to have had excellent weather for outdoor worship thus far.  Should the forecast call for rain, we would worship indoors.  Details would be sent out to members and regular attendees via text and/or email, and posted on our Facebook page.

At this time, nursery and tot church are not being provided.

Attendance at a worship service is an invitation, not a obligation.  For those who would like to attend but are unable or uncomfortable attending in person, we continue to livestream our services on Vimeo, accessible from this website, and on our Facebook page.

On September 20th, we intend to move worship indoors.  Details are still being finalized.  Keep an eye on this page and email (for members/regular attendees) for updates.

Update: COVID-19

Since mid-April, MCRC has been hosting a dual live morning service at 9:00 a.m. and 10:45 p.m. Members are invited to attend one service or the other based on LiFE Groups, and an email goes out late in each week confirming which LiFE Groups are invited which services that week.  We anticipate holding two morning services until Montana enters Phase 3 of reopening.

If you aren’t a member and would like to worship with us, you are welcome (assuming, of course, that you don’t exhibit any signs of COVID-19 and/or have not been advised to self-quarantine). If you could do us the courtesy of contacting the office to let us know which service you’d like to attend, we’d appreciate it.

Nursery and Tot Church are presently not being offered.  However, the service is being streamed to the Fellowship Hall for families with young children who desire to physically attend church but whose young children need to move or play.

Our 9:00 a.m. service will be livestreamed through our Vimeo link on the main page of our site, and also on our Facebook page.  Our 6:00 p.m. service will be livestreamed, except when outdoors (intended to be July – mid-September, weather permitting).
