Sunday School

Before the 10:00 a.m. Service

Grades K-12

Sunday School for grades K-8 and Catechism classes for grades 9-12 meet in various classrooms in the lower level of the church at 9:00 a.m. during the school year.  Contact the Sunday School Superintendents – Ren Braaksma (406-282-7648) and LaRae Sales (406-282-7435) for more information on K-8 Sunday School.

The catechism class for all high school students is led by Pastor Tim Kuperus.  They also meet at 9:00 a.m. in the lower level of the church.  For the 2017-2018 church year, the class is studying James K. A. Smith’s “Letters to a Young Calvinist“.  Contact Kathy in the church office (406-282-7422, or office@manhattancrc.org) for more information about catechism classes.

Adults

Sunday School for adults is also held at 9:00 a.m. on the same schedule as Sunday School for students; they meet upstairs in the Fellowship Hall.  For the 2017-2018 church year, Adult Sunday School will be watching “Why Does a Good God Allow Bad Things” and “Creation Restored“, both DVDs on Biblical Creation.  Join us as we discover how to increase our faith more by seeing God’s hand even in a groaning creation.  In doing this, we will also see His word and our faith reaffirmed over and over again.

Coffee is provided.  Feel free to join the class whenever it works out or when you drop your children off for their Sunday School classes.  Contact Doug Braaksma (406-539-9201) for more information.

During the 10:00 a.m. Service

Preschool Children

Children ages 3 – 5 (pre-Kindergarten) are dismissed for Tot Church just prior to the sermon.  They enjoy a time of singing, Bible stories, and activities downstairs during the service.  With a few exceptions, Tot Church runs throughout the year; children are invited to the program upon turning 3, regardless of when that falls in the year, and they move into morning Sunday School upon entering Kindergarten.  Contact Kathy in the church office (406-282-7422, or office@manhattancrc.org) with any questions.
